How Hard Was the Night

How Hard Was the Night is the 6th Christmas Worship album in a series that presents you with new song prayers focused on the birth of Christ. They are ready-made playlists of fresh melodies and lyrics with which your heart and soul open to deeper revelations from God regarding the significance of Jesus’s birth for you and all people in all generations. Some of these albums, including this one, also include some traditional carols. Each Christmas worship album has its own nuanced focus.

The new and old song prayers on this album come together with intersecting themes of Jesus as the Light of our lives, the always-present, coexisting spiritual and natural realities and the necessity of making constant room to hear God’s messages in order to walk out your God-given purpose (which, like Jesus’s, will often include hardship).

Let us un-romanticize Christmas and let God use our commemoration of Jesus’s birth to renew our commitment to look for His Light, listen for His will, and boldly walk out whatever path He sets before us, in His love and because of His love, following our Shepherd wherever He may go.
